Through my many Dutch contacts I have imported, bought and sold several competition horses from Holland. I have also owned and bred Dutch Warmblood horses, such as Wendy the KWPN champoin Gelderlander pictured above. Out of Wendy I bred and produced an ‘Approved’ Warmblood stallion, Guelderson, (Sire: Sovereign Bill XX). He was ‘Approved’ in 1991 by the Anglo-Dutch Breeders Association (now AES) at Arena UK. Guelderson stood at the Lambridden Stud in Scotland for two seasons and later competed in Dressage to Advanced level.
I provide essential basic training for riders and horses/ponies over a wide range of ages and abilities to improve and strengthen positive partnerships.
My wide-ranging teaching experience covers instructing at Pony Club Camps and Rallies (‘C Test’ training/examining for the Petersfield Pony Club), and when I lived in Somerset I instructed students on equine courses at Cannington College . I am also a Riding for the Disabled Association instructor and Para-Rider Coach. In addition to this I have a number of individual clients aged between six and sixty. I also teach Dressage at Lavant Equestrian (BHS ‘Highly Commended’). Since gaining my BHS qualification I have acquired a vast amount of experience working with horses in numerous equine disciplines including Dressage, Eventing, Carriage Driving, Racing, Breeding, Showing Breaking/Schooling yards, in England and Holland.
